OUR CAVE EXPERIENCE

This is not just a bike ride; this is the first and most amazing project of its kind, located at the heart of the Riviera Maya. Here, the mountain biking adrenaline merges with the ancient magic of the natural underworld. You will descend into a natural hidden world and explore the underground landscape in natural caves. During these 3–4 hours, you will experience it.

Our mission is to take you on a journey to explore a hidden world. You won't just pedal through the jungle; you'll venture into natural caverns surrounded by stalactite and stalagmite formations that have taken millions of years to create. It's a sensory experience where the fresh underground air and the dim light from your lamp create a surreal setting. One of our professional guides will take you to the most extraordinary places in the cave systems.

An average tour is 15-18 km and along the way the guide will stop a few times to tell you about this special place. In practical terms, we will provide you with a bike, helmet and light. If your group consists of more than 10 people, the group will be divided among several guides. Cave biking is suitable for the sporty and recreational enthusiast, for young and old. With a minimum height suitable for a XS (13) size mountain bike (around 1.40m)

What does your adventure include?

• Underground Ride: Explore trails designed to flow through the limestone, riding through 3 cave systems. The route is adapted to all groups, from recreational enthusiasts to experienced cyclists

• Hiking Exploration: Although we also offer our “Hike the Cave” experience, for those who aren't skilled at riding bikes, the bicycle riders will also leave the bikes for a while to walk through narrow passages and hidden chambers, discovering the unique geology of the Peninsula. Don't forget that your shoes will get wet

• Professional Guides and Equipment: We'll equip you with hardtail mountain bikes, helmets, and lighting systems. Our guides are not only experts at mountain biking, but also passionate about local history and nature.

• During this experience, you'll have: water, energy bars and fruit. You'll also have the option to include food after the cave experience, rent a GoPro, or stay overnight at our magnificent location.

• Families and active groups (minimum height 1.40m) looking for a "once-in-a-lifetime" experience. - Book in advance : As this is a private natural area where we strive to respect the flora and fauna to the fullest extent, we operate with small groups to guarantee your safety and the preservation of the caves.

• Prepare to be amazed: Remember that you're riding through a living ecosystem; every pedal stroke is a privilege.

OUR STAFF EXPERIENCE

We are a group of cycling enthusiasts who have been riding in the Riviera Maya and the Yucatan Peninsula since 1995. In addition to road cycling and triathlon, we are fans of mountain and off-road cycling, creating routes and trails throughout this area to show them to the world.

We love and live for all related to cycling. Although we created the first mountain biking club in the early 2000s (MTB Cancun & Riviera Maya Club), we opened our first bike shop in 2005 in Cancún, and that's when we decided that cycling was our way of life. From Performance Bike Shop, we moved to Elite Cyclery – Plazas Outlet, which in 2018 became our best version yet: Elite Cyclery – The Big Store in Cancún.

In 2012 we began developing Punta Venado Bike Park, Learning a lot from IMBA, to have a safe and gorgeous place in the jungle for off-road cycling, in a flat area without mountains, where we managed to create very good trails, green and blue ones, including some black technical too; All of these, so that mountain, or off-road cyclists of all levels, could train and have fun safely in he Mexican Caribbean up to this day.

In 2010 we started organizing MTB, Road Cycling, Triathlon and Trail Run races & competitions, So we create Elite Cyclery Events, which to this day continues to organize very good events in the region, but this also turn, to led us to create ECTiming, where we also offer electronic races results for sports competitions.

In 2024, Elite Cyclery - Tours and Rentals partnered with the Vuelta Mayakoba organization to create Ride & Tour, a company dedicated to offering road cycling tours from 2 to 12 days throughout the Yucatán Peninsula.

Finally, in 2025, we started to work at this amazing proyect The Cave Bike Park, showcasing one of the most beautiful places to ride in the world, a unique and fantastic location that has us mesmerized for its beauty and greatness.

Our experience spans over 20 years in all aspects of cycling. We support the most important cycling events in the region, work with cities and municipalities to promote urban cycling, organize rides and training with friends and visitors to our destinations, and thoroughly enjoy cycling. We are passionate about bicycles, adventure, the jungle, the forest, the mountains, and the place where we live. We hope you enjoy everything we have achieved and offer.
